Fabulous, light and airy apartments with huge windows. The decor and furniture are modern and tasteful. The bed is really comfy and shower decent with lovely, soft white towels in the bathrooms. There are views of the sea from the bay window in the kitchen/diner (second floor two bed apartment). The kitchen is well equipped. The location is fantastic – a stone’s throw from The Hoe. WiFi works well. I booked directly with the owners as it was the cheapest option I could find, two weeks in advance. Booking process was very easy as was the key handover. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. My relatives who live locally will be recommending it to their visitors in future.
We booked a 1 bedroom apartment at Strathmore House Apartments on short notice in the summer of 2019. The booking process (via Airbnb) was pain free and quick. Soon after we received a comprehensive email with all booking details. I had made a request for an infant cot and high chair which was promptly acknowledged and confirmed. Brilliant service. The apartment we had was on the second floor. We had an elevator for convenience. The property itself was very well furnished with all modern amenities and facilities you would expect and more. Location of the apartment is fantastic, with Plymouth Hoe less than 2 minutes walking distance and all the main attractions of the city within walking reach. We really loved our stay and made memories that we will cherish for eternity. I would highly recommend Strathmore House Apartments without hesitation if you are looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in Plymouth. No hotel stay comes close to this experience.
We stayed for five nights at Strathmore House Apartments. It was terrific! We could see the harbour from our second floor apartment. It had lots of space to spread out. We normally stay in b&b’s but decided to try this and were so pleased. Instead of a teeny room, we had bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting area .. all with high ceilings.
Fully equipped – it even had a washing machine! Great value .. great place.
My daughter and I came to Plymouth to attend a performance at the theatre. We stayed at the apartments as it was a better rate than a hotel for the two of us. My daughter has many food allergies, so it worked perfectly having our own apartment with kitchen. The only shame was that we were only there for two nights! Well done everyone. Great location and facilities and easy booking.
We had a romantic weekend in Plymouth staying at the apartments and it was divine. We had a two bedroom apartment for the two of us. It was such a nice surprise. I got ready for our date-night on my own, it was like being 21 again! Thank you to everyone. We have fallen in love with each other again! AND Plymouth!
From start to end the booking, arriving and time we spend at Strathmore Apartments was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and Bobbie was so helpful. We would highly recommend and we WILL be staying again next year.
First class accommodation. I had a very enjoyable stay with my two Daughters and two Grandsons in the four bedroom Apartment. On the lower floor of the apartment there is a hallway leading to the large living area; which incorporates a lounge, dining room, and kitchen. As well as one bedroom, and a shower room. We appreciated the fact that the dining table is situated in a bay window, which offers views of the sea, and ships as they pass by inside the breakwater of Plymouth Sound. The apartment is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. It has comfortable beds, which offer an excellent night’s sleep in quiet surroundings. Unusually in the area, these apartments have their own car park, which is well lit at night.
Excellent and stress free. We arrived at the Strathmore in November. The property we were purchasing was still not completed for us to move into! The housekeeping staff were extremely efficient, so lovely to come home to a beautifully cleaned apartment with an abundance of towels for our needs. The apartment we had was amazing. Four good bedrooms with amazing views of the Sound and our new property! Would recommend for this accommodation for any use, business, holidays or simply temporary home, which was our situation.
Didn’t want to leave this amazing home away from home. 5 Stars all the way: As soon as we walked in the front door we were overjoyed by what we was presented with. The entire place is huge bright and ever so clean. The main bathroom is high spec and extremely clean, it wasn’t long before I had the bath (which for a 6′ 1″ man is a big bath) running for a good long soak. The bedroom again was very big and roomy with en suite shower room, again decorated to a very high spec. The living room was again huge, with a lovely bay window with sea views. The kitchen had everything you could possibly want from a kitchen, all mod cons, dishwasher, oven, fridge freezer, toaster kettle etc etc. I really can’t express just how lovey this apartment is. We went for a swim and steam at the New Continental Hotel which is less than 5 minutes walk down the road, they also have two gyms and a sauna. I would highly recommend booking here, we didn’t want to leave. 5 star all the way and and will be returning again in the next few weeks and whenever I need to stay in Plymouth again there is no doubt in my mind where I will be staying.
Great apartments: These apartments are great, we stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding and it was perfect. Clean, tidy, modern and spacious in a great location on the Hoe, we even had sea views!! The apartment had everything you could want to self cater. The beds are up there for comfort, we had a great night’s sleep, soft fluffy towels and lovely bedding. Would definitely stay again if we are in the area.
